Postage and Handling |
Postage is always combined for multiple items and is at cost. For items up to 500gms this is $8.30 for parcels within Australia*. The next break is at 3Kg. Unless you are in a local area the cheapest option is to put the carton inside a $14.55 red plastic satchel but this also depends on size. All parcels within Australia are tracked and you will be given this number to follow up. The exception is for thin items such as small amounts of trackwork that will fit under the 20mm limit. These can be posted for as little as $2.00 depending on weight. For these items you might want to consider signature on receipt at $2.95 extra to that. Handling Fees are always zero. Recycled materials are used wherever possible. Payments are due within 7 days of invoice. Bank deposit is the preferred option if you cannot collect in person. This is free and easy to use over the counter or by internet banking. You can also use Paypal but this will be at cost. i.e. for Australian customers this is 2.6%* of the combined purchases including postage and also their 30c flagfall transaction fee. (Overseas is slightly different). Insurance I post very securely and with tracking* there is little chance that items go 'missing'. If this is a concern, insurance can be purchased - details on request or from the Australia Post Website. Currently it is $2.00 for each $100. * Overseas costs would be more but could be air or surface. (Surface is not available for the U.S. or N.Z.). New rules means that Air Mail parcels must be less then 2Kg, Surface parcels must be more than 2Kg. Tracking is an additional cost. Paypal is fine unless you're in the U.K. where bank deposit / cheque is acceptable. |
